The language register for my type of genre, could include guitar terminology such as "Sweet picking", "riffs" and "tabs". These are words which the audience I'm aiming for would probably understand. This is quite informal language, which is how I would like to speak to my audience.
For example the magazine Kerrang use acronyms, to shorted band names, Fall Out Boy= FOB.
The audience I am aiming for should already know who fall out boy are, so I could use acronyms.
